Project Engineer for AC and HVDC Subsea Cable Technology (m/f/x)
Your Tasks
- Support subsea cable projects (AC and HVDC) with cable engineering, design, technology and manufacturing know -how
- Develop HV cable specifications for inner array or export cable systems
- Review cable design and manufacturing documents
- Prepare and attend supplier and factory audits as well as cable type tests, and support the cable manufacturing supervision
- Backoffice engineering for NCR and punch items from the cable manufacturing process
- Manage the interface to the cable installation
- Identify and report technical risks
- Contribute to the overall optimization of inner array grid layouts and export cable connections for offshore wind farms
- Report to package and/or project managers and liaise with colleagues from other work
Your Profile
- Master, Bachelor or equivalent in electrical or industrial engineering
- Several years of relevant subsea cable engineering experience
- Familiar with developing or working with EPC tender, design and manufacturing documents
- Experience in the field of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and/or AC power transmission
- Experience in offshore wind and/or interconnector projects
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
- Willingness to undertake regular trips to the project countries
- Valid work permit for Spain
