About Us

Since 1922, FICHTNER has been supporting exciting projects in the fields of energy, environment, renewable energies, water management, and consulting and IT as one of the leading independent engineering and consulting companies. In the Fichtner Group, you can expect a unique combination of a long-term oriented family business coupled with diversity, dynamism and flat hierarchies. We want to develop the infrastructure of tomorrow together with you and can offer you a wide range of development opportunities.

About The Department

We advise distribution system operators on the digital transformation process and on the corresponding planning and implementation of distribution grids (focusing on medium and low voltage) in the national and international arena. In close cooperation with our in-house software development department, we also develop tools for technical and economic evaluation, monitoring and management of distribution grids.

The expansion of renewable energies, climate protection, the requirements of growing electromobility, Redispatch 2.0, Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG), the aging of equipment, and efficiency requirements from regulators – the world of energy grids is in a state of upheaval, which is increasingly affecting the distribution grid level in terms of digitization and future-proofing.

Working for us, you can expect to be involved in interesting projects on power distribution grids and consulting relating to the digital transformation process. This includes tasks in the digitization of grids, the development of techno-economic functions of tools, as well as grid planning and implementation.
